Sunflowers
Wait for outdoor temperatures above 64ºF. Plant the sunflower seeds holes 1 inch deep and 6 inches apart in a sunny spot. Keep the soil consistently moist, then cut back to watering once a week once the seedlings sprout.
Wildflowers
Plant either fall or spring after last frost. Find a sunny spot. Scatter the seeds as evenly as possible by walking back and forth. Press the seeds into the soil by stepping or rolling on them. Water, and keep moist until they germinate.
